Details:
Heavy Lift / Heavy Haul planning and supervision during
the construction of a $160 million 250 Mw cogeneration, combined-cycle
power plant In New York City.
Cranes
on site included Demag CC1800, Manitowoc 888 & 777 crawler
cranes, 1000 ton Derrick Barge crane and Goldhofer multi-axle
line trailers
Project: TCV
Noise Mitigation
Location:
ExxonMobil, Fawley Refinery,
UK
Details:
Heavy Lift
Supervision and technical assistance for installation of new 75te
silencer / stack module at an elevation of 70 metres, using a
Demag TC3200H, strut jib crane on luffer.
Extremely restricted area for rigging of crane and lifting
operations together with a tight schedule presented many challenges.

Project: SHOP
Plant Shutdown, 2002

Stanlow Manufacturing Complex,

Details:
Heavy
Lift Consultation and overseeing all lifting and rigging operations.
Our role encompassed acting as the final arbitrator between Shell
UK and the principal contractors, reviewing Method Statements
and Rigging Studies. Production of feasibility studies for the
replacement of the flare stack tip.
On site craneage consisted of up to 35 cranes per
day, ranging from 10te industrial cranes to 500te telescopics

FCCU Shutdown
Location:
Statoil Refinery, Mongstad, Norway
Details:
Planning and production of Rigging
Studies for all rigging works during an FCCU shutdown at Statoil
Refinery.
Works included internal rigging operations for
the replacement of Reactor Baffles and replacement of Stand Pipes
/ Slide Valves to Regenerator.

cranes.

River Re-Powering

Details:
Heavy Lift planning during the construction of a 360 MW
gas-fired, combined-cycle cogeneration project within an existing
building, in the centre of Manhattan.
Severe
restrictions imposed on crane and equipment locations.
Equipment
used included Liebherr LR1400/1 crawler crane, 400te. Hydraulic
Gantry System and modular trailers.

East River Re-Powering
– Storage Facility
Location:
Military Ocean Terminal,

Details:
Management of all lifting and transport operations at laydown
/ storage facility for new power station.
Project
involved supervision of manpower and equipment for loading and offloading
of power station equipment from transport and barges. Equipment
on site ranged from fork lift trucks to 800te floating cranes. Project
ran for approximately 12 months.

Details:
Heavy Lift Supervision and technical assistance for installation
of two new 300 tonne Reactors.
Cranes
used for the lifts were a Liebherr LR1400/1 crawler crane and 2no.
100tonne telescopic cranes for ‘tailing’ the reactors to the vertical.

Third Party Assessment of Shipping, Transportation and
Heavy Lift project for installation of columns and reactors. Review
of all Method Statements, transport and shipping plans from Belgium
to the UK and on site presence during offload from ship and installation

Planning and overseeing of all lifting and rigging operations
during the FCCU shutdown.
Project
involved months of planning producing studies for internal rigging
of standpipes, reactor risers, regenerator cyclones. Cranes on site
ranged from 25te. crane to 1000te. telescopic cranes on luffer.

Heavy Lift planning, Method Statement production and technical
assistance for shutdown of A & A plant. Work included bundle
pulling, column and vessel replacement.
Cranes
used for the lifts ranged from 25te. to 500te. telescopic cranes.

Details: Third
Party Verification Service & on site supervision
of
shipping, barging, transportation and erection of a 190te. column
from Houston, Texas to Anzoátégui, Venezuela.
Cranes
used for the lift were a Demag CC2800 crawler crane on Superlift,
Liebherr LR1350/1 crawler crane together with multi-axle trailers,
barge and heavy lift ship.
