Feasability Studies
Conceptual Studies
At Techlift we believe that the best time to consider the impact of heavy lift and transport activities is during the project’s inception. Conceptual studies usually take the form of data collection and brainstorming exercises with the client, designed to generate as many options as possible. These ideas are then simulated in 2D, 3D or animation to achieve a practical number of options to carry forward to the next phase.
The emphasis during this type of study is to evaluate alternative schemes that will become the basis for a fully developed lifting and transport plan. The studies can address areas such as plant operating problems, expansion projects, new process units, geographical location, safety and economic feasibility. In addition, we have experience in applying the principles of value engineering, constructability, design and risk-management assessment.
Feasibility Studies
Following on from the Conceptual Study, Techlift can perform Feasibility Studies to develop the selected options. By participating in Constructability Reviews and fully understanding our client’s requirements we can produce Preliminary Crane and Transport Layouts that minimise disruption, asset down time and financial expenditure. The studies can then be used as the technical basis for detailed engineering, or can be tailored as an enquiry to be issued by our client for competitive tendering.
Each project is unique and so are its challenges. Techlift’s team of consultants and engineers can help you overcome these challenges in order to meet or exceed your project goals.
